The cold breeze from Siberia are blowing these days (January 2008) in Pakistan, that has made chill of epic proportion. Energy sector has not been able to hedge the necessary heat requirements and the electricity shortage too is affecting severely. Swat under turmoil, is adversely affected by cold spell and record breaking snowfall, analogous only to 1984. The prices of Gas and firewood here have been selling at skyrocketed prices.
