WEF Davos this year

This year session has been entirely consumed by two perplexing issues of the global community. First has been the Economic Meltdown, due to which very few countries are actually enthralled in any other problem or concern. Investors have been accusing the bankers but they are not ready to accept it entirely. They blame those that convinced Senators in Washington to relax the credit regime.
The bankers also accuse the American consumers for spending much more than their capacities through buying expensive loans. Here is however, a point that none have been pointing to, is the expensive wars at the cost of tax-payers money. But there is a reason for not finding such a complaint. The whole of the investors and consumers eye the US govt. salvage plans and the more hyped "stimulus bail-out".
The second enthrallment of the session has been the Gaza carnage, where the Israel is still trumpeting its right to defend itself. The real climax has been the walkout by Turkish President Tayyeph Erdogan. His walkout has been highly commended in the Muslim world, though not met favorably in the pro-Israel countries. However the Israeli account is very hard to be bought in face value and the casualties and disaster it has unleashed is by and large irrecoverable.

US Foreign Policy versus Pakistan vision: Afghan perspective

The US criminal negligence to the carnage in Gaza, the catastrophe unleashed by the Israeli jets and tanks, on the unarmed civilians of Gaza. The premise is very hard to be digested. The doctrine of preemptive strikes have been a real source of terror since it was first propounded.

The war is inevitable and indispensable for Pakistan and the struggling South, for the American premise of bringing peace, stability and democracy to the world has failed miserably over the period ever America being the perpetrator.

Sectarian Portrait

I fail to understand why are people trying to portray every untoward incident in Pakistan and for that matter in troubled Pakhtunkhwa (former NWFP) to their "sectarian backdrop" for instance shia-sunni, deobandi-wahabi, pashtun-punjabi taliban conflict. The cynicism is touching the lowest ebb and about every triviality is published and broadcasted with religious enthusiasm. The media and intelligentsia too shares the blame. After all they tend to justify the unjustified claim of the biased west that all Muslims are "intolerant". Our internal pseudo-philosophers should understand this serves none, not even America. The Americans have been endeavoured diplomatically with great pain to be convinced (as options too are very scarce save diplomatic) that their drone attacks are counterproductive. Even the Britains and Germans are cognizant of this fact. It is, however, felt that America seeks its interest in dividing the muslim world. This fact is very much evident in its biased policy towards middle East, where it banishes Iran for pursuing peaceful nuclear energy, but never suspects the aspirations of Israel for that matter. Their criminal silence and ignorance on the Gaza carnage is not for the time a testimony to their share in the venture. Moreover, it has been fuelling fueds between Iran and the Gulf Sheikhdoms. It is comprehensible that why it promotes the case of Sheikhs' right to Civil Nuclear Power so graciously. Thus the assertion is not unfounded that the world is not going to find peace even for a moment onwards, unless a decisive war like the one WWII, that settled the ground for new world order. The new world is propagated religiously by America and the zions, but sugarcoated with the assumption that the fruits of such a mass reshuffle shall be favouable to the supremacy of America and its cronies.

Global Economic Meltdown

Having said that the staple commodities are following the suit as well. The denovo utility of food staples as the organic fuel is redirecting the demand and supply trends. Speculations have got involved due to greater demand and hence investments are subject to increase. This in turn is further galvanizing the inflationary trends in to a nightmare of famine for the developing countries.
The resolve of the OPEC to increase or bring the oil prices to a stable level, shall by and large be a news very perplexing for the world leading economies. Added agony is the Russian resurgence and will to levy its share out of the oil pipelines and command its mastership to a regional balance in its favor. With this confidence Russia has been able to intimidate the otherwise "sheepish" and "acquiesced" American with the favorable regime changes and rope in more nations to its vested interests and supremacy.

Shahrukh Khan challenges HollywoodMore power however, has been yielded by the tremours of a financial crunch which has dragged the mat from beneath the feet of Big budget movies of the year, produced by the top guns in the industry. The real temptation and resilience is however maintained in case of the Khans, with Akka Khan this year amassed unprecedented 1 billion from the only the year end block bluster "Ghajini".
